Trzymając w ręku kamień nie znamy jego historii, wiemy tylko, że istnieje od dawna. Nie potrafimy też zgadnąć co się z nim stanie, gdy zostawimy go na ścieżce i pójdziemy dalej. Może ktoś go znajdzie, włoży do kieszeni, podaruje znajomemu, może wyląduje w czyjejś doniczce, w pudełku ze skarbami, zostanie uwieczniony na kilku fotografiach i trafi z powrotem na ścieżkę, lub na dno oceanu.

Nie znamy historii kamienia, ale możemy na nią wpłynąć, zmienić jej bieg. Z tego powodu zebrałam kilka kamyków, pomalowałam je i umieściłam na powrót w ich naturalnym otoczeniu. Co się z nimi stanie?

Kiedy wróciłam w niektóre miejsca następnego dnia, kamienie znikły. Ktoś je wziął zaciekawiony, że różnią się od pozostałych, a może ożywione farbą odpełzły w nieznane? 

Celem pracy jest zwrócenie uwagi odbiorców na małe rzeczy, niepozorne detale krajobrazu. To właśnie drobne elementy budują indywidualny charakter miejsca. Zauważając szczegóły wyzbywamy się schematów i mamy możliwość pełniejszego odbioru otaczającej nas rzeczywistości.

Holding a stone in our hands, we don’t know its history; we only know that it has existed for a long time. Nor can we guess what will happen to it if we leave it on the path and move on. Maybe someone will find it, put it in their pocket, give it to a friend, maybe it will end up in someone’s flowerpot, in a treasure box, be immortalized in a few photographs, and find its way back to the path, or to the bottom of the ocean.

We don’t know the stone’s history, but we can influence it, change its course. For this reason, I collected a few pebbles, painted them, and placed them back in their natural surroundings. What will happen to them?

When I returned to some places the next day, the stones had disappeared. Someone picked them up, curious that they were different from the others, or perhaps, enlivened by the paint, they crept away into the unknown?

The aim of the work is to draw viewers’ attention to small things, the inconspicuous details of the landscape. It is these small details that build the individual character of a place. By noticing details, we get rid of patterns and are able to more fully perceive the reality around us.
